Where did my download go

Where did my download go?

You can locate the downloaded file by:

 

Using Keyboard Shortcuts    (Back to Top)

  • Firefox (Windows): Press “Ctrl+J” to open download list. Right-click on the downloaded file and Click “Open”.
  • Firefox (Mac): Press “Command+J” to open download list. Control-click the downloaded file and Click “Open”.
  • Safari (Mac OS): Press Option+Command+L. Control-click the downloaded file and Click “Open”.
  • Google Chrome: Press Ctrl+J. Click the downloaded file.
  • Internet Explorer: Press “Ctrl+J” to open download list. Select file. Click “Open”

 

Accessing the Download Folder    (Back to Top)

Windows 7:
  • Click on Start menu icon to access Computer.

  • The Downloads folder is often located under Favorites menu.

- OR -
  • Click the arrow next to Computer.
  • Click the arrow next to Windows.
  • Click the arrow next to Users.
  • Click the arrow next to your computer’s name.
  • Click the Downloads folder.

Mac:
  • Check the Dock for the Downloads folder featuring a downward arrow inside a circle.

- OR -
  • Type Download in the Spotlight search tool.
  • Click on Folder: Downloads.

Internet Explorer (Windows)
  • Click “View Downloads” under the “Tools” menu.

  • Downloads are listed here.
  • Click “Options” to confirm or set Downloads folder.

  • Default location is listed here.
  • Option to change folder and/or set notification is available.

Firefox (Windows)
  • Click on “Options”, located under the “Tools” menu.

  • Under the “General” tab, look in the Downloads area. Ensure the “Show Downloads window” is selected. “Save Files to” will show the download location.
  • Click “Browse” to select a different folder than the default “Downloads” folder.
  • Click "OK" to accept the change, "Cancel" or the "X" on the top right corner to close window.

(Mac)
  • Click on “Preferences”, located under the “Firefox” menu.

  • Under the “General” tab, look in the Downloads area. Ensure the “Show Downloads window” is selected. “Save Files to” will show the download location.
  • Click “Choose” to select a different folder than the default “Downloads” folder.

Safari (Mac)
  • Click “Preferences” under the Safari menu.

  • Under the “General” tab, the “Save download files to:” has the drop down menu set to Downloads
  • Click the drop down menu to select a different folder.

Google Chrome
  • Click “Downloads” under the “List” icon.

  • 2. Downloads are listed or Click “Open downloads folder”

  • 3. Click “Change” to select a different downloads folder.
  • Note: Google Chrome Settings may vary on version. Optional configurations may include: Choose Customize and Control Google Chrome>Options. In the “Under The Hood” tab, look under the Downloads heading. Check the Download location setting.

Viewing the On The Hub Account Information    (Back to Top)

Accessing your account information will show where the file was downloaded to.
