Domain joined (UFAD) computers should automatically activate Volume licenses for Windows OS and the Microsoft Office suite.
If you system or application is not activating or they have indicated they are not genuine, the first steps are to check your client's time and time zone are accurate and set correctly (this is often the issue). You will also need to ensure your client has outbound access to kms.ad.ufl.edu on TCP port 1688 while on a campus network.
If your system is not domain joined, it will help to set your systems's domain suffix to ad.ufl.edu and you can use a manual activation process.
Manual Activation (often for non-domain joined or mobile systems)
Windows Operating System
1. Set the Windows KMS server on the client system:
Open a command prompt as administrator and enter the following:
cscript c:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs -skms kms.ad.ufl.edu
2. Force Windows KMS activation on the client system:
script c:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs -ato
The script should output that the activation completed successfully.
You can also verify activation status at any time by displaying the license information using the following command:
cscript c:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs /dli
1. Set the Office KMS server on the client system:

cscript "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15\ospp.vbs" /sethst:kms.ad.ufl.edu
2. Force Office KMS activation on the client system:
